A bit expensive, although I received a coupon in the mail(use it if you have one). Quality customer service, timely and great information after getting my car back. They sent me a link to see photos and information about how parts of my car were holding up.

Definitely agree with the numerous other people who complained about upcharging. I took my car here for an inspection. I get the impression they were definitely looking for things wrong that they could hold my car hostage for. When I showed up my car was on a lift (usually NOT standard practice for state inspection). Admittedly, my car did have exhaust system damage, but the nearly $800 they wanted to charge me for a rear exhaust pipe and muffler is simply highway robbery. That's a 250 to $300 repair at just about any other shop. Moreover, they failed me on brakes when I have hundreds of dollars in receipts in my glovebox that indicates my brakes have been serviced by a specialist for my make and model car in recent months. They clearly just wanted to shake me down for nearly a thousand dollars on a simple inspection. I could see failing my car, but their prices are astronomical. They probably expected to pull the wool over my eyes. Stay away from this place.

Tom, I am sorry to hear that you feel as if you were taken advantage of during your state inspection. We are definitely sticklers when it comes to inspecting your car; unless we do our due diligence, we are endangering you, other motorists, and ourselves. We are also admittedly not a muffler shop - you can definitely find a better deal out there, but it will not include the 3 year, 36,000 mile warranty, nor will it include the complimentary roadside assistance we offer with any service over $25. I am sure you feel like your brakes are in good shape, and as I have not seen them myself, I must assume that my inspector followed the letter of the law in failing them. We are not in the business of pulling wool over our customer's eyes; on the contrary, we provide detailed photos and videos of everything that we find in the spirit of transparency. I can also say with great certainty that we are priced in line with other high end independent shops in the area. If you want cheaper service, do so at your own risk. Best of luck going forward.

Took my Volvo there for repairs. Given a list of items that “needed repair” that were quite expensive. Made an appt.. to start repairs which they said i needed, in particular, a outer tire rod on the drivers side. Had to cancel because of a repair that needed to be done on my home. Went to dealer in Saturday and was told that I only needed one thing done of the four items totaling $1100,00 that they said was needed. Won’t be returning there ever!

Maxine, I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with Carolina Car Care. If you still have the copy of your digital inspection, you can clearly see why we recommended further service in the many photos we took to show our rationale for the recommendations. I would urge you to visit a third party shop to double check the items we noticed, not so that we can prove anything, but so you will be safe in your Volvo for years to come.
