I took my car here for an oil change while I was in school because it was closer than my normal shop. They came back telling me I needed a repair that would cost $2200. They were right about the repair but I waited until I got home this summer to take it to my normal shop and it only cost me $400 total..... So much for “honest” auto care.

Erin, so sorry to hear that you had a bad experience at Honest-1. I am glad you were able to have your vehicle repaired elsewhere for a lower cost; however, I am slightly confused as to what they fixed. We recommended replacing your steering rack and pinion, which based on the photos we took was leaking rather badly. Wholesale cost on that part is $300 and the job takes over 6 hours to complete, leading me to think that your local shop fixed something else, or were able to somehow patch the leak. Unless your local mechanic REALLY loves you, there is no feasible way to complete that repair for under $1000. We also recommended a power steering pump at a total cost of roughly $415 - maybe this is what they replaced? I am terribly sorry that you feel as if we tried to take advantage - that is never our intent. Please reach out if you have any other questions or concerns, I am always happy to help. Best, David

The only thing they are honest about is their ridiculously high prices and below average customer service. All I needed was an oil change and tire rotation and I was told it would have costed me almost $70. Just take your car somewhere else.

Koby, I am sorry that you had a bad experience at Honest-1 Auto Care. Our prices are extremely reasonable - the same oil change and rotation at Jiffy Lube costs $80 before tax, whereas we came in at $63 total after tax. Also, to be clear with those customers who may see this review later on down the line - you never purchased our services and argued with my staff over having to pay a labor charge to use oil you supplied. I dropped my car off, because they said they specialize in Nissan's. I was told it was one issue, then told it was another issue. They ended up towing the car to the dealership. The dealership found the issue immediately. They had my car for 4 weeks. I had to call them to get an update only to hear a different issue, but when I get the bill, there was nothing showing what was said over the phone. Next time, I'll just take the car to the dealership

Great place with friendly people. They helped me when my previous car died, and also helped me pick out a new car. They checked out the new car and gave me some recommendations before I bought it.

Best auto shop in Greensboro! Not only are they fast, honest, and reliable but they are the kindest crew! I've never felt more comfortable and confident about a place than 5 stars!
